Annual Charity Boxing Day Dip

 Our Annual Boxing Day DIp is supporting The Harbour Cancer Support Centre this year.

The Harbour Cancer Support Centre have been based in Gosport since 2001. They offer help, guidance and support to all cancer patients, their families and carers. The support ranges from a Drop in Centre with fully qualified counsellors, to practical help for all types of cancer, including information and complementary therapies. It is completely free and not restricted to any length of time. You can attend for as long as you need to.
On the day, you will be able to dip in the sea for up to 10 minutes under the watchful eye of our safety team.
Numbers are restricted to comply with our risk assessment to 25 per wave, If more than 25 are attending then we will have an extra wave, There are no more than 50 places available.
Please meet us at Lee on Solent Beach. In front of the beach huts which are situated next to the Skate Park and On the Water Restaurant. The What3words is gentle.tiger.thank and the post code for On the Water is PO13 9LW. There is parking available along Marine Parade West which is metered at £1 an hour, or for free along the side streets.
The water will be cold in December and we are happy for you to wear wetsuits, gloves, hats and socks. Whatever you need to keep warm. Fancy dress is permitted.
Please bring plenty of warm layers to put on after your dip. There will be a hot drink available afterwards.
We reserve the right to prevent any participants from entering the water and to pull participants from the water before the 10 minutes are up, if we feel that their safety would be compromised in any way.
